When my girls were younger, I decorated special Easter baskets which we use every year. Since one of our daughters will not be able to make it home from college to join us on Easter weekend, I decided to come up with an alternative basket that would ship easily yet still be beautiful.
As soon as I saw this lovely Easter printable, by White Gunpowder (a favorite blog of mine), I knew it would be the perfect image to use for decorating a box to use in place of a basket.
Some time ago, I saved this cream box from Anthropologie because it was too beautiful to recycle. I placed a lovely shade of pink shredded packing paper in the box and added all of the sweets and surprises inside. (Can't show an image of the inside because a certain someone reads my blog & I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.) The box was tied with blush ribbons and I added a few vintage flowers and a sparkling rhinestone finding. I hope she loves it!
