Some of you may remember the lovely article that appeared in Victoria Magazine in the late 90's featuring the amazingly talented potter, Lark Elizabeth Roderigues. Lark creates her handmade pottery in her studio in Rhode Island, which was once the barn of her 1790 farmhouse. After reading the article, I instantly fell in love with her beautiful work and charming ceramic heart wall hangings. A dear friend of mine, who travels to Rhode Island on occasion, was able to attend one of Lark's shows and, as a birthday gift for me, purchased my first heart "Friend". Later, I wanted a "Sweet Pea" heart for my daughter and I arranged for my friend to purchase one on a future visit.
Over the years, I would visit Lark's web-site in the hope that perhaps she would one day offer her collection on-line. A few days ago, I was delighted to receive a personal note from Lark, that she now has an on-line shop, and it's on Etsy! You can visit Lark's shop here which includes her vases, bowls, heart wall hangings, jewelry and more. The following pictures were graciously provided by Lark to share with all of you.
Not only is she a talented artist, but an avid gardener as well. To see more of her beautifully renovated historic home, visit "re-nest.com" where you can enjoy reading a wonderful feature and view over twenty detailed photographs of her charming 1790 Portsmouth home.
