While E is outside making a first attempt at clearing some of the snow, as more of it is falling, we are inside in the midst of a baking marathon. So thankful we have not lost power so we're able to keep warm and have fun in the kitchen.
I picked up one too many cartons of eggs, in preparation for the storm, so I decided to make an angel food cake. My favorite recipe is from Martha Stewart, which can be found online. Keep warm everyone! We'll be headed outside soon to join E in digging out our cars!
I'm happy to share two new Valentine printables to gift to your Valentines this year. "We go together like... (milk & cookies, the stars & sky, etc.) You can choose to print a set of cards with the wording I selected, or you can print a set of cards with a blank area for you to add your own ideas. Both sets are free for you to enjoy. Download links are available at the end of this post.
After cutting out the cards, I brushed the edges with a gold stamp pad, and simply tied them with a velvet ribbon to gift to my Valentines.
Printables for Personal Use Only
I invite you to share these, however please be kind and add a link for your readers directly back to this post, rather than copying the post and/or downloads in their entirety. Thank you!
Hello everyone! I'm happy to announce we have added custom white pillow covers to the collection in addition to our grey and linen covers. We are also introducing two new designs which are currently available in the shop. Have a beautiful weekend.
Hello! I'm back in the studio and am happy to share many new additions to the shop. First up are six new note card designs to the EAB Designs collection. Each design may be custom ordered with your choice of font, ink and envelope color. Full details can be found in the shop. As always, I'm happy to send a proof before making your purchase. For under $10 a set, they make wonderful personalized gift for friends, co-workers, hostesses or bridal parties.
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday season. Thank you for following along and a special welcome to all of our new readers. Stay tuned for more shop updates, as well as the progress we've made on our house renovations. The front entrance and windows are now completed and we have moved onto the master suite. Pictures to follow!
After a very busy season, our Etsy shops our now closed for the holiday so we can enjoy the Christmas season with family. I'm looking forward to sharing many new designs with you when we re-open in January. Thank you for a wonderful year and best wishes for a lovely Christmas filled with much joy.
Just a couple of quick shop updates. Our blush velvet ribbon is currently out of stock. More will be available within a couple of weeks.
Also, our popular personalized white quilted stockings are very limited now. If you were interested in purchasing these, I recommend not waiting. This design will not be returning to the shop once our final quantity is sold out. I purchased the material in Belgium and sadly, I'm unable to obtain any more.
We're hosting a casual dinner party and I wanted a rustic look for the table, working with what I had on hand. Rather than purchasing flowers, I filled two of my larger vases with fresh apples. The addition of handmade velvet pumpkins and some preserved boxwood, at each end of the table, completed the look.
On the menu - pulled BBQ pork sandwiches, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, and carrot cake for dessert. Everything will be made ahead of time, including E's famous orange and pomegranate margaritas. Have a beautiful fall weekend everyone!
Our front door and windows are in the midst of a renovation, but that didn't stop me from decorating our porch for the season. Of course, that means having to move everything while E is working but I'm happy to do so!
Pumpkins do not seem to be in abundant supply in our area this year, so I visited a few places to hunt down what I was looking for. To the helpful employee at Trader Joe's who helped me dig down to the bottom of the huge bin - thank you!!
A new addition to our porch this season are a set of beautiful lanterns by Luminara, The candles look like the real thing and they came with a remote control. So happy with this purchase! I'm already thinking of how I'll use them in my decorating throughout the coming holiday season.
I'll have to take some more pictures once the renovation is complete. The door is looking so beautiful and I love the new color, Hale Navy, by Benjamin Moore.
Autumn - my most favorite time of the year. I love this quote by Nathaniel Hawthorne, “I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house. So I have spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air.”
Fall is the season of earth and jewel tones that reflect the changing of the leaves. It's a perfect time to bring new color to your accessories to complement the season's palette. These pieces and more are now available in the Pemberley Collectionshop. For the remainder of the month, enter code AUTUMN15, to receive 15% off your total purchase of $25 or more. (exp. 9/30/15)
I'm always so touched when a relative gifts a treasured family heirloom to me. Recently, I received a set of these beautiful antique salt cellars. They have been in the Creasy family for over a hundred years.
I love the hand painted roses and tiny foot bases. I look forward to using these when entertaining, not only for salt, but perhaps for butter pats as well. I'm also keeping one on the sink in our master bath to hold my rings. So happy to have these handed down to me to enjoy and keep safe until I pass them on to my girls one day.
