I love wrapping gifts, especially for birthdays. (Sweet girl's is this Saturday.) First thing I do is head downstairs to choose a selection of handmade papers from my flat file. I cut the above circles with a scalloped paper punch and then sewed them together to create a garland embellishment to wrap around the box.
This is one of my favorite embroidered papers - perfect for any occasion. Three simple bows were tied to one side with sheer organdy Midori ribbon. My tip for using handmade papers is to always keep two-sided tape on hand to avoid any tape showing on the outside of your beautifully wrapped gift.
