I'll be flying to NYC soon in search of new suppliers and to visit my established favorites as well. I'm fortunate my husband was born and raised in the city so I couldn't ask for a better guide. Best of all, he actually loves accompanying me and is looking forward to spending four days in the city shopping and eating fabulous food. I picked up Sibella Court's new book "the stylist's guide to NYC" at Anthropologie. If you plan on visiting the city to shop, I would highly recommend it. It comes complete with maps, and detailed suggested routes based upon what you're searching for. Shops' addresses, web-sites and inspiring photos are all included. I was happy to see some of my own favorites and look forward to visiting some of hers as well.
On a different note, thank you for all of your emails asking what I've been up to during my month long absence to my blog. We have just been super busy. We took hundreds of pictures during our trip to Latvia, but I just haven't had time to go through them all yet. I hope to post some soon. We also packed up Sweet Pea and moved her into her dorm at William & Mary. Poor thing broke her foot on move-in day and landed herself on crutches (she's now in a leg brace so she's able to get around without the crutches). Then a week later, my husband drove back down to bring six students home after the college evacuated due to hurricane Irene. It definitely was an eventful first week at college!
